Pumpkin Patch

Image
On Tuesday afternoon, Grandma Delta invited all the cousins to come to the Red Barn in Santaquin for a hay ride to the pumpkin patch. There ended up being 11/13 grandkids there (only missing William who was sick and little Peter who is 2 weeks old). It was such a blast and it warms my heart so much to see the kids all just love their cousins. I feel so lucky that my kids get to be so close to their cousins and grandparents. Each of the older kids took it upon themselves to help with a younger kid since there were only three adults there. Max hung onto Liz for dear life on the hay ride. The whole gang. Mason with his pumpkin. He really wants to roast pumpkin seeds from it, and I'm hoping he'll forget about it and I can just buy him some from the grocery store. The rule is that you can only get a pumpkin you can carry. Mason convinced Liz to help him. Poor little Max couldn't find a single pumpkin he could carry. I think they all weighed more than he do...

Legoland

Last weekend I took the kids to Legoland for a fun little vacation during their Fall break. Marshall has been completely flooded at work and wasn't able to come, and so I brought along our amazing nanny Hannah and her awesome son Ari. We all had a great time. I was a little worried that they would be underwhelmed with Legoland after being to Disneyland, but I was completely wrong. One is from Utah and another from Boise and we all just happened to have the same great idea to go to Legoland on a Friday in October. WEIRD! They have some Lego cars and a little city so the kids can drive around and learn to obey traffic laws. Saturday night they did a "Brick or Treat" where the kids ...

What We've Been Up To

Image
Myles has been continuing his obsession with China and insists on eating with chopsticks. He listens to Chinese music when falling asleep at night, and can say about a dozen different phrases in Chinese. The other day he answered the phone with "no-how" or however you say hello in Chinese. It is pretty cute and I'm considering next year sending him to a different school that does Mandarin dual-immersion instead of the local French school that Mason goes to. Mason finally lost a tooth on his own (the first two he had to have the dentist pull). He was pretty proud of himself and we were thrilled we didn't have to pay for the dentist to pull another one :) Mason has been riding his bike to school every day so far this year. He is getting to be such a big boy! Marshall has been gone a lot this month, and I often don't bother cooking when he is gone. This last week I took the kids to McDonald's (or as Max calls it, Miss McDonald's) and they had a ...
