Touchdown!

Yesterday we got pretty excited watching the BYU-Utah football game and taught Mason to raise his hands and say TOUCHDOWN! Well, today in church when the congregation was raising their hands to sustain the leaders, Mason took that as his cue, stood up, raised both arms and yelled TOUCHDOWN! Quite embarrassing.

New Pictures!

We finally got the pictures off the camera and were able to post them. We had some trouble formatting the blog right, so please forgive the messed up captions.

These are some of my all-time favorite pictures of Mason. We were at Marshall's cousin's wedding with all the cousins, and Mason had a blast!

Here is Mason with his Great-Grandpa Johnson and Great-Grandma Johnson. The next picture is of Mason, Lizzie, MEgan, Rusty and Grandma Delta. Then the picture of Elizabeth and Mason sharing the doggie.

We've been having little family parties celebrating the BYU football games lately, and this is Mason's favorite cousin activity. They were gathered around one coloring book sharing 4 crayons and switching every 5 seconds or so. Mason was keeping right up with it. Mason and his cousins with their great-grandma Johnson Give me the camera!!!

Buddies

Lately, I've been saying to Mason, "mommy and Mason are buddies" and he has really picked up on it. In the car, he lists everyone he knows and says "Megan buddy, Elizabeth buddy, Grandma buddy", etc. We think it is so cute that he knows who all his buddies are.

Need More Money

The other day Mason was playing on my bed while Marshall was in the shower, and Mason was putting coins in between his toes. I have no idea where he got that from, but he loves it. He ran out of coins and he said "Mommy, need more money". I told him to tell his dad, and so when his dad came in Mason repeated "Need more money". We laughed so hard, that he thinks he is great when he says it, so he walks around the house chanting "need more money!" Visitors probably think we are training him to beg on the streets!

Mason Pictures

We're having trouble with our camera, so I'm resorting to cutting and pasting pictures from Kim's website. But here is Mason with his two best buddies, Elizabeth and Megan.

A Remorseful Kid

This morning I was blow-drying my hair and Mason was coloring in my bedroom on the floor with a pen (he prefers pens to crayons). He dissapeared for a minute, and then came in to the bathroom crying, tears running down his face. I said "what's wrong" and he saw my wipes and stopped crying and immediately asked for one. I gave him one and followed him into the hallway where he started furiously wiping a spot on the wall. As I looked closer, he was wiping at a pen mark that he had just made. He colored on the wall!! And he felt so horrible about it that he was crying. I figured he felt bad enough so I just helped him clean it up and gave him some paper. We've either instilled a large guilt complex into the poor kid or he's desperately afraid of our wrath!

Saturday Mornings and Halloween

Image
This first picture is a typical Saturday morning for Mason. He watches Thomas while mommy and daddy make breakfast and get ready for the day. He could turn into a real couch potato! Here are some getting ready to Trick-or-Treat pictures. Mason had the time of his life trick-or-treating with Elizabeth and Megan. He was a trooper and just kept going from house to house until we made him stop because WE were too cold!! He is so protective of his candy. He caught me stealing some yesterday morning and clenched his fist and yelled "NO MOMMY!!". He also is a pursuasive arguer. He really thinks he should get candy for breakfast and won't take no for an answer!
