Busy October

It has been a very busy October, but really, what month isn't busy in our family? We've had field-trips, Canadian Thanksgiving, parties, and extra kids. I was going through my phone and found a number of pictures. So here they are, in no particular order.  Max's kindergarten took a field trip to a pumpkin patch. He was nervous that he would be forgotten on the bus but other than that he was very excited and had a great time.  Myles' class took a field trip to the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point. I was able to be a chaperone and it was so great to see Myles interact with his school buddies. Here they are in the "tornado" machine.  We went to my work Halloween party and the kids had a fun time. McKay wore the lion costume that Deb made for Mason and each kid has worn their first halloween. Myles was Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Myles was Craggor from Lego Legends of Chima, and Mason was Lavall from Lego Legends ...

Legoland!

We had a fantastic trip to Legoland last week. I had so much fun planning the vacation over the last few months and it was everything we all dreamed of! More information is in the picture captions. The kids worked very hard on their school work all summer to earn a trip to Legoland. They earned "lego bricks" on their chart by doing worksheets, reading, chores, etc. Towards the end of the summer we were traveling so much that they just earned big "megabucks" for doing homework and chores the whole week, but by the middle of September or so they had filled up their chart and earned the trip! We splurged a little and stayed in the Legoland Hotel . We booked it far enough ahead of time that it wasn't too unreasonable in the off season, especially with everything it included. The Legoland Hotel has three different themed rooms--Pirate, Adventure, and Castle, and the kids of course chose the Pirate rooms. It had two separate rooms--one with a  queen bed for th...
