Slides

Little Mason is totally into slides! For a few months now we've been taking him on the slide in our backyard. He was doing really well (meaning going down sitting with his legs forward) until a few weeks ago when he say his cousins go down the slide on their tummies head first. Now Mason thinks that is the cool ways to slide! Last night we took him to a park near our house with 4 big slides. I expected him to be a little nervous, and at first Marshall went down with him. After one time with Marshall he climbed right back up the ladder by himself, crawled over to the slide, and went down the right way. When he gets to the bottom he laughs and laughs. We had a great time until it was time to go home and he got really mad.

Tickle-tickle

One of my favorite things to do it to tickle Mason while he laughs and laughs. Well, now Mason is paying me back. Yesterday we brought Mason to our bed in the morning because we were so tired (and sick), and Mason was full of energy. He started poking me and saying "tick-tick-tick" and then laughing!! Then he got off the bed on Marshall's side and I fell asleep. A few minutes later I felt tiny hands pinch my bum, and then Mason burst out in giggles!! He sure is becoming quite a little tease! Marshall and I were both sick with the stomach flu yesterday and feeling pretty lethargic, so Mason was doing whatever he could to get our attention. He had a great time opening the cracker box and dumping out the crackers, finding a bag of cheetos, eating them, and then wiping his fingers on the carpet, and sliding our gingerale off the table. He was such a little pill. Plus he had really bad diareah, so with Marshall and I both feeling so sick anyway, we had to change about 1 diap...

Poor Mason

Mason has had a rough week. Last Saturday after the Easter Egg hunt, he was really fussy, so we took him to the doctor's. Turns out he had an ear infection in both ears, so they geve us some antibiotics and sent us home. Sunday he was happy, great, even walking (see other post). Then Monday we went to pick him up from Kim's, and he had thrown up in the afternoon. While we were there he threw up again, and then once more on our way home. Tuesday he was good all day except his eyes were all crusty and he had a really runny nose. But Wednesday morning when we woke up he was really fussy and so I stayed home to take him to the doctor's. We weren't giving him the antibiotics because they were upsetting his stomach, so the doctor gave him a shot of antibiotics and sent us home with instructions to come back Saturday if he wasn't back to normal. He had lost about 2 lbs from Saturday to Wednesday, and with a kid as little as Mason that it pretty scary. I spent the aftern...
