A Quick Note

I was just checking my email with Mason on my lap. He saw Marshall's stapler and is calling it the "Break-Down Train". Myles is doing great. We were in Delta yesterday and this morning, and when Thomas was on the tv Myles would turn his head and watch it. He is also starting to smile a bit, mostly just when Mason is talking to him.

Hiking

Mason went hiking today with his grandpa, dad, uncles, and cousins. Even though he's being held in this picture, Marshall tells me he walked more than all the other kids. He especially loved running down the mountain, yelling "wheee" the whole time.

Happy

Last night Mason was grumpy when Marshall was putting him to bed. Marshall asked him what they should do about it, and Mason replied "sleeping in my big-boy bed makes me happy."

Don't Be Cross

On Wednesday night I was in a really bad mood. Marshall didn't get home from work until 8 or so, Mason was filthy and needed a bath, and Myles was pretty clingy. Mason was being difficult and wouldn't get out of the tub and I was getting mad at him. The cute kid looked up at me and said "mommy, don't be cross, be happy!". On his Thomas movies and books they talk about the trains being cross, and he called me on it.

Updates

Myles is doing really great. He's eating a lot faster now, which is really nice for me. The first few weeks he was taking an hour to eat, and now he finishes in about 20 minutes and eats every 2 and a half hours. It is nice to have him on a flexable schedule so I know more what my day will look like. I've been getting a lot done in the yard. Yesterday I cut down all the tulips, daffodils, and crocuses (spelling?) and bought mulch to spread all around. Then I planted a bunch of flowers. It looks a lot better. Today I weeded the other flower bed by the street and hopefully will be able to get mulch and flowers for it tomorrow. Mason loves helping me weed and especially spread the mulch around. A few cute things Mason has done lately: * this morning I told him he could help me make a "treat" with marshmellows (rice crispy squares) and he was really excited. When I finished feeding Myles I put him down on a blanket on the floor and told Mason it was time to make the t...
