Grand Canyon Trip
For the kids' fall break we decided to take a road trip to the Grand Canyon. It's something neither Marshall nor I had ever seen and we both thought it would be fun. We were right!

The first night we drove to Vegas and swam in the pool. The next night we made it to the Grand Canyon just as the sun was setting.

The Grand Canyon National Park has a great Junior Rangers program. The kids worked really hard on it for 2 days and were rewarded by being sworn in as official junior rangers.

Even Myles was really into it.

The park ranger was really cute swearing them in and making it very official.

Honestly, this is how we spent most of our time. Watching Marshall take pictures.

At one of the places we stopped there was a German couple that noticed McKay admiring their motorbike. They asked if he wanted to sit on it and he was so excited!

We climbed a watchtower and when we were done we couldn't find Max. We finally found him sitting on some steps taking pictures of the view. Like father, like son.

On the way back we stopped at Bryce Canyon for a picnic lunch and hike.

McKay refused to hike much and we refused to carry him, so Marshall and the older boys ended up hiking while I stayed back and waited with McKay.
